Xmas Morning

My little brother finally woke me up this morning. Mom made homemade cinnamon rolls, which were yum. It was a very wonderful Christmas. It seems that every year the video camera dies or we forget to take pictures, it turns out better. Briece (Jenna’s dog) climbed in to the pile of presents and managed to find all the ones that were for him. He has gotten really good at opening them by himself. It was so funny!
Mom opened the infamous gift from Victoria’s Secret that was from dad (Ha, Jenna bought it so no one except for me knew what it was.) Dad was afraid it was going to be lingerie and he’d be embarrassed. Mom got dad these two framed prints with our family crest and history. He loved them. Apparently, I can only claim Scottish now. The Irish part is too small to count. It’s really interesting and the people selling them said that we were one of few that had history back that far. The first record dates back to 1494, most only go back to 1700s. Maybe I’ll take a picture and post it later. I restored this wallet-sized photo of my great grandpa for dad, too, and had it enlarged to 5x7. My dad looks so much like him. I also got him such a cool tie: navy, orange, & bronze diagonal stripes. It was in such a cool box, too. Yeah, I just couldn’t leave the mall without buying someone a tie.
I got really great gifts:
- bird feeder & stand
- George Foreman grill
- more kitchen utensils
- an air compressor (from dad)
- 8x10 photos of Paul Newman & Cary Grant
- 3 old school movie posters for Vertigo, Casablanca, and Rear Window
- A Rothko print
- dvd player…I just need to buy a TV that will connect to it now heh.
I need to do some frame shopping too. My bedroom’s finally going to have some flare. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any music, though.
Well, we’re having a standing rib roast, which should be wonderful. I might try some wine today. I’m thinking I might like my mom’s fruity Bloomington wine. Maybe my family will be play some Simpson’s Jeopardy after we eat. That would be good times. Hopefully everyone else is having a wonderful Christmas, too! I tried to put links in the post so it wouldn’t be quite as boring heh
