William Tell

My sister just reminded me of something fun for me but completely trivial to all of you (like usual). She sent me “I’m listening to ‘Rossini - Overture to Guillaume Tell (William Tell)’,” which reminded me of something I forgot to mention Tuesday. On my way to drop my car off, I was flipping stations, and I ended on Purdue radio. I heard William Tell was on and it made me very happy. I caught it about 1/4 way in to the song. I LOVE THIS SONG! My brother, sister, and I made a music video to it several years ago when we were snowed in.
Watching it is a privilege reserved for special friends :) Anyway, it came on right as I was entering town on 52, and let me tell you, I cannot just nod my head or tap my fingers to this song…oh no, that just won’t do. So yes, I was quite obviously conducting the orchestra in my car. I’d bring in the flutes on one hand, while emphasizing the bass parts with the other. Okay, I shouldn’t lie—that’s what I was attempting to do, but my hands aren’t great at multi-tasking like that. It was rush hour time, so I was probably entertainment for a lot of people. Oh well, I get really excited when songs I really love come on. Somewhat similar experiences happened with ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and ‘What’s up?’ I love music in my car.
Well, that’s all. I got cable today. It’s going to be weird seeing what the actors actually look like. I’ve been working on our big project for almost 10 straight hours. Lord. I still have a 5-page prototype to make for tomorrow for my other job. I think my sis is gonna get to meet the team tomorrow, though, so she’ll finally see what all the hype is about.
Seems I was listening to this song some other day recently. Odd. I wish I had time to make my madwoman music directory.
