• Spent 2 hours cleaning the rented room & bathroom
• Vacuumed a mattress for first time in life
• 2 boxes of junk and the full trash bag from bathroom were left in closet
• 2 nicks in the wall
• 2 rounds of vacuuming to get all the crap off the floor
• The pile of plates discovered in the closet yesterday were lovingly left in the sink for me
• Tape removal that took paint with it
• Discovered my nice scissors I’d been missing for months, along with other items I’d never loaned out
• Pencil sharpening shavings in drawers and all over the floor
• Piles of trash under the bed
• The most disgusting toilet I’ve ever had to clean
• No idea what I cleaned out of bathtub
• Titanic DVD from library…still here…likely the reason behind all the mail she keeps getting from the library. Better make sure she changes her address.

And I got up early on a Sunday to take her to the Union, only for her to leave her room in that state. I half-debated doing a walk-through before we left, but I decided it was worth more to me for her not to miss the bus to the airport. I suppose I have only myself to blame for not asking for a security deposit, but the last 2 girls left everything perfect, down to scrubbing the bathroom to sparkling perfection.

But she’s gone. At last….until next semester when she has to get the rest of her crap. I told her she could leave her mattress, so I guess she assumed boxes of other stuff was fine too. Contrary to popular opinion, I’m obviously not a complete bitch. Otherwise, I would have just set the boxes out for the trash man.

I’m just completely appalled at her lack of respect. If either of my parents learned of me leaving someone else’s place in such a state, they would literally kick my ass.

Ah, but that’s one gigantic headache gone away. I so value my peace of mind.
