Today sort of sucked. I woke up at 4 am on the dot (it’s becoming a pattern). It was storming like hell, so I had to run around and get all my windows shut. So I got up, knowing I had some freelance client issues to take care of by noon. Then I remembered, I have to officially leave my apt today, so I ran over there and did some last minute cleaning before handing them the keys and my $1,210 leave early penalty. Yeah and the management lady I gave the keys and money to was a cheerleader. “Oh, I’m so excited you got a house!!! Your house is SUPER CUTE! I’m like SO jealous” Yeah, this was the first time in my life I’d seen the girl. Weird.

Then, I was wondering why they hadn’t called about delivering my washer yet, so as I was talking to customer service, I noticed the receipt listed 11/13 as the delivery date, even though the sales chick said “this Saturday.” So I though, “Great, I need to wash clothes and I just turned in the keys to my apartment.” After finally getting through to the sales girl, she apologized her ass off and canceled my order to replace it with the next model up to be delivered sometime Monday. I’m hoping they come in the morning before I leave for work. blah, but I get a fancier washer so I guess that’s good. I attempted to call Verizon to find out about my DSL. They don’t have real people on weekends. Later, I got an automated call saying my DSL transfer has been delayed to November 5. blahhh…I think I need more bad news people. It’s too windy to bring up furniture today so my parents are coming tomorrow. So much for getting work done this weekend. Then chimney sweep guy came. He was sort of scary. I thought he was an old creepy man trick-or-treater. His services were $70. Blargh. Ok that’s my bitching for the day. “and then” hehe

I just finished watching All About Eve, starring Bette Davis. She’s an amazing actress. I see what they mean by Bette Davis eyes now. The movie was very good. I halfway suspected the ending, but not completely. I liked how the movie was setup, though. It begins by showing this chick receiving an award and 4 people not clapping, then it flashes straight to those 4 people as her best friends. It made me very curious to see how she pissed them off. Very good. I’m looking forward to Vertigo. These older movies are much longer than most thrillers today. More for your money.

Still no word from Blockbuster boy. hehe if he doesn’t have Internet or email to email me, I guess it would have been embarrassing for him to say that. Oh well. I don’t give my number out to strangers. Well, I try not to give it out at all. I hate phone calls. They’re so disruptive.

I did spend a few hours at my friend’s house last night. There were some interesting visitors throughout the night. It was fun, though. It was nice to get out of the house for a bit.
