Confused? Good. Since a co-worker was on her honeymoon, I got to set up shop at her desk and be part of the central group at work. Though I think it made me less productive at times, I really felt more like a part of the team. The guy next to me reached over and dropped a note on my desk. I started cracking up. It was folded elementary-style with the tucked-in flap. I really couldn’t stop laughing as I read his pretend little kid talk note that closed with a PS asking for my SN. I wrote my response, refolded, and returned it. Good times. What a flashback that was. umm thus the title if you missed that.
Bummer of the day was my field trip with photo guy getting postponed. I think we’re all set for next week instead, though. I’m working towards being his faithful, fearless sidekick. Sometime soon I’m gonna get to pretend I know what I’m doing and do some studio lighting stuff. I’m excited.
I also grabbed Wendy’s with 5 of the guys. That was fun bonding time. I felt right at home. Apparently, a bunch of us are Dead Like Me fans. One of them noted the similarity of the lead character to myself, which I thought was some majorly good insight for barely knowing me. We spent most the time reminiscing about rectangle school pizza and debating the appearance of that teacher that hooked up with her student…several times and how that got initiated. Creepy.
I had a grand ol’ time, and I got a lot done. They called me today about upping my hours, which I plan to take them up on, especially since my freelance people have literally dropped off the face of the earth. I’d love to just hand off the projects. Any takers? :)
btw, new Phantom of the Opera is really good. I’m so behind. It was my first time seeing/hearing the work period. I cannot get “Music of the Night” out of my head, so I’ve been playing karaoke with the midi. Sad but true.
