So I got up this morning at 8am which i figured was too late to land a wii. Well i stepped outside and saw the 4” of snow that had appeared on my car overnight and thought “maybe this deterred some people.” so i very carefully drove to target and got a “you missed them” so i went to best buy, saw a very short line gathered in front and thought “may as well”. each store had a 20 minimum and I was number 14. a guy that got in line behind me said his buddy worked in that store and said they got 33, so i stood out in the blistering cold for an hour & a half to get a voucher. we had to come back in an hour to actually get the system. i passed time down the way at a starbucks in barnes & noble. many other wii-buyers were there and so i talked to the first 2 guys in line. they arrived at 4:15 & 5 am. dumbasses. i got there at 8:30 and could have been there at 9:30 and still gotten one :) my father would have never done that for me. crazy.

well, while i was at B&N, I saw tv box sets were buy one, get one free so i got season 1 & 2 of dead like me for $38 with tax. score.

i got my wii & a stellar, gigantic geek squad t-shirt and left proud of my commitment to the cause.

and i think i just played it for like 2 hours before i finally threw my arm out boxing and collapsed to the floor in pain. it was so worth it. i’m gonna be thin & trim in no time. it so rocks my world. i can’t wait til wii play is released so i can rock some ping pong.

what’s also cool is i marked something off my life list “want something bad enough to camp outside for it”. PCH trip should be this fall…
