I had a beautiful story drafted up in my head that I was going to post a couple days ago, but by some strange turn of events, I wasn’t at my computer long enough to type it. Not often you hear that excuse, eh?

So the condensed version of my lovely tale…

As I was riding the bus home from work, we drew close to a stop where a shorter, older Japanese-looking woman stood with a gleaming smile on her face. She and her husband (I assume) boarded the bus. That smile never left her face. She was as giddy as a school girl. Looked around the bus, smiling at every face she met. I watched them from the back (because I’m creepy…and fascinated). She would snuggle up against him & laugh. They were like newlyweds in casual street clothes and about 55 years old. It was pretty awesome. I hope to be that happy some day.

That evening I went with Justin to watch “The Hippie Temptation” at the Red Vic. It’s a local theater with mis-matched seats and a small screen. It was a perfect venue for the film. I appreciated that they had wooden popcorn bowls, and a man that talked to the theater in place of horrible motion graphics with spaceships flying through candy bars.

I enjoyed work a lot this week. I kept busy for the most part. I also pulled off some work that everyone said wasn’t possible. I finally felt part of the team, having people ask me questions and talk through stuff. I wasn’t just the solo worker in the corner. It was really nice.

But I don’t feel like typing anymore.
