I have something very exciting to share. A song for you to download for free…right here. I’m launching new artists, people. It’s a sort of re-release of this song, The Rain, from my new favorite singer/songwriter, Tyler Bender. This recording will be featured on an upcoming video release from the People’s Burn Foundation. It’s a “quiet” mix of the song, and I think it’s beautiful.
Please, have a listen: The Rain - Tyler Bender and take a minute to post a comment on your thoughts :)
Also, visit Tyler’s MySpace for more songs and info on upcoming shows.
In other news, I rearranged my living room and put up a christmas tree. It’s an exciting life I lead. :) But seriously, I’m writing to avoid the 3 full counters of dishes that I need to wash.
I went to dollar burger night at Bar Louie last night. It was a lot more hamburger than I expected for $1. Being a plain jane girl won me cheapest bill for the night, as toppings came at a price. I parted with leftovers for $3.70. I rock. It was good times. I hadn’t been out with that group of folks in a really, really long time. Adam x2, Amy, Alex, Rachel, Gary, Liz, & Eric. We had a strange waiter, but guessing his age made for great dinner convo. Also, it worked out sitting by Eric, as I scored some car insight. After a year of searching, I’ve found my way back to the mini cooper. If the weather is nice, I’ll hopefully be test driving this weekend, if I can work up the nerve. Driving scares me. Driving things I don’t own…in the winter…scares me more.
Also, shhh because this hasn’t gone out yet, but if you read this far, you may be interested to see the video that I wrote (90%) & starred in: Watch it Now, squeally fools!
Yes, the shitty audio is completely my fault. I should never be allowed to film myself ever again, but we all know I will. (That was a teaser for my forthcoming video on my portfolio. It’s gonna rock. I won’t lie.)
I’ve started writing more again. I need to stay in that habit. It’s therapeutic.
Nothing much else planned for the week, except dishes and extracting money from my CD before it matures so I can buy myself some fancy wheels. wooo. And finishing my portfolio so that the next time I get the urge to apply for a job, I won’t have any excuses. Well, at least one less.
Enjoy the song & the video.
