Through random Facebook exploring, I came across a link to the Malcontents, a local Lafayette ska band. First thing I see on their news page is “Everyone welcome Dave Evans as the Malcontents new drummer!” Well, if it’s the same Dave that graduated with me, I had to check them out.

Listened to their tracks at PureVolume, and I really liked the first track “Saturday vs. Sunday”. Chick singer sounds a bit like Gwen Stefani. I prefer her to the guy vocalist.

Anyway, what floored me was the amount of horns! 2 trumpets AND 2 trombones. Fuck yeah. hmm seems I recently met one of the trumpet guys, too. He was pretty cool. I might just have to check out a show.
