Strange Little Dream

I had a pretty random/crazy dream. I think it’s worth the read. It was quite an adventure.
My sister & I were in this grocery store, and we were like small sprites. We were flying around the store on some contraption that was refilled with drinks. We started with orange soda but we didn’t like the orange color, so my sister found green Pepsi. When we poured it in the engine, it turned in to glowing bright blue particles. We stared and said, “Perfect.” We took off and saw our dad (not one in real life) and realized we were crashing toward him. I started flapping my arm and it lifted us up out of his reach. We flew out the store doors and crashed in to the backseat of a policeman’s Jeep. We had to hop to our dad’s car, and I recall both vehicles nearly hitting me.

We’re no longer sprites at this point, and we’re in the car with our actual dad and little brother, driving down a long stretch of highway. I’m sitting on the right as usual, staring out the window. We were passing one huge cemetery. The monuments were 12-14’ angels (much like photo), trees, and other detailed figures. I said I wanted to visit it sometime, and my dad said, “All those damn burrs.” I assumed he was referring to poor upkeep of place, and I thought how sad it was that such a beautiful place wasn’t taken care of.
The scenery was all lovely, but I soon said, “Dad, none of this is looking familiar. Do you know where you’re going?” Soon after, the road became flooded with water and huge chunks of the road were missing. We were going down a large hill that was completely flooded at the bottom. Cars coming toward us were swerving in to our lane and all the way off the other side of the road. My dad never slowed down, and we barely missed hitting them. The cars were all the way off in the ditch with water nearly completely covering them. I looked out the rear window and asked if they would get out. As I asked, they somehow did and I wondered how. Dad said it was “sharp right turn,” whatever that meant.

About that time, the road split off in to half road/half waterslide (the bottom of one). My sister started heading down the waterslide part but I pulled her over. Our car disappeared, so we were all walking. Looking to the left, there was a gigantic roller coaster. The bottom half was submerged in water, but the coaster was just a gigantic backwards C, at least 100 stories tall. It went far up in the sky and with it being in water, it appeared to be floating in the air. It was pouring rain but the coaster was still running. My sister pointed at it and said “It’s the mummy!” I thought we must have been at Cedar Rapids (meant Cedar Point, I think, because it had famous coasters).
We walked in the entrance, and I saw a little boy and demanded he tell me were we were. He said, “Spring Rock…in TN” Somehow I ended up in just a bath towel at this point, and I told my dad I’d get the ladies at the front desk to give us a map. I tried talking to them but they never offered a map. My sister got out this order form and seemed to sell them Girl Scout cookies. She had some book with her about travel, but for some reason, we never used it. We walked to a lounge area with a bunch of newspapers. I nearly beat up a little kid for taking my paper. I saw an old black man sitting with a 1-foot stack of newspapers. I walked over and said “Excuse me…” and he said “Help yourself…”. He pulled out a flyer with a map of TN, and said, “this is a map of my band’s shows”. He pointed to a low place on the map and said, “you’re here” but the map looked nothing like any state I’d ever seen before. He was a blues musician and started playing me his records, asking if I liked blues. At first, I thought he was the Governor (musician), but I forget the actual band name. I was staring at his map and saw they had played at Turkey Run Golf Course (in my hometown) on Dec. 4. He was trying to play a video for me but I couldn’t stop staring at the listing, looking for a Lafayette booking. He finally said, “You missed it again” (some part of the video). I asked what I’d missed and he showed it again and said, “See, she’s switching their Christmas stockings.” His music was playing in the background of the video.
That’s all I remember. I have this feeling we somehow found mom but I don’t actually remember it. December 4th is significant to me but I can’t remember why. it’s longer than I thought, but details are important in dream recollection. Something else to note is I don’t remember seeing anyone’s face except the little boy I tried to beat up, some short chubby-faced kid. That’s odd.
UPDATE: It seems this Dec. 4 was the last time I hung out with my sister for a long time and coincidentally, we were Xmas shopping (note flying in grocery store and video about Xmas stockings). Also, we took a family vacation to Rock City, TN when we were little. We crossed a suspension bridge, but my mom didn’t go with us because she was pregnant.
