I just saw the funniest thing, and it needs to be shared. (Notice how my sharing skills have increased??) I’m finally caught up with my preschool skills…yikes I have a long way to go…but anyway, the squirrel story.

I was walking along the sidewalk, and I saw a squirrel crouched on a cement ledge on the side of my dorm. I never understand how they walk on those; they are only 2” wide. Well, I see another squirrel on the ground. They seem to be bickering or choosing a mate—I can never tell the difference :) So I see the first squirrel leap off the ledge into the air. I think he was hoping he was a flying squirrel because he was stretched out completely flat but unfortunately, he was not. Now this is where it gets interesting…I assumed he was going for the tree that was fairly nearby…nope. Either this guy failed miserably or was in attack mode, because he did a belly flop straight down into an evergreen bush. OUCH! So the squirrel that was already on the ground starts throwing a fit. He was so mocking the stupid squirrel. It was great! Another guy saw it happen because I saw him start cracking up too. Obviously, because it was HILARIOUS! Okay, maybe I’m too easily amused…but just picture the squirrel flying off the edge and going straight down into an evergreen bush. *laughs at recollection* I have such great stories :)
