Well, it’s 3am, and I just got home from quite a day. I really shouldn’t have been allowed to drive, since I have officially been up 21 hours now.

So I went to the holiday show at the Melody Inn, featuring Margot & the Nuclear So & So’s, Everything, Now!, and United States 3. All 3 were quite excellent…such a rocking show…all for $10!

I went with Matt but Johnny, his friend John, and Dave and company all found their way there. Such good times. Johnny seemed really different…it’d just been forever since I’d seen him. John was awesome. He looked so much like my brit which is why I think i talked to him like I’d known him forever. Oh, that and I have 0 tolerance for alcohol, so yeah. I could respect the fact that he didn’t mind standing with me during the main act. I like to see people branch out but Johnny did say he was a “social butterfly.” And then Dave arrived and he’s like a new friend to me so it was just really great to see him too. He took some great photos…maybe I can get some to post…

It was just such an amazing show. I loved the audience. A guy in Everything, Now! was grilling vegetables for no apparent reason. I had so much fun. I was just so happy to see/meet everybody. I really missed Johnny Slack, and I’ll be sad to see him go away permanently. It’s not like we’re good friends or anything but I just always enjoy talking nonsense to him.

So yes, time to hit the sack and rest up for tomorrow’s long night of adventures. I can’t wait!
