Smalltown Comedy

So I did my first “bar” comedy show this week. It was pretty awkward, but I got a nice chunk of change for it and think I did pretty well considering the awkwardness.
I have lots of shows coming up in October. Just updated my comedy page with dates.
Work still has me a little on edge. I did this Strengths Finders exercise this week. My top 5 are: analytical, deliberative, responsibility, relator, & activator. In reading the descriptions, I think it’s pretty dead on. I don’t agree with HR that it backs up that I’m good for my current role though, which is a bit discouraging.
In even less important news, today I made the most delicious chicken cordon bleu in my history of making the dish. I actually made some cookies this evening too, which I’m about to dive in to. I feel like I’m re-stabilizing my life a bit which is encouraging.
This week is gonna be pretty busy. In some bout of stupidity, I signed up to play 9 holes of golf after work this week, with people who actually know how to golf. I’ve played twice in my life and I’m pretty sure we didn’t follow the rules. It’s going to be incredibly awkward, but apparently, I live for moments that are such.
Looking forward to the weekend, though. My cousins are in-town, so it will be fun to see them. Haven’t seen them since their wedding in Seattle over 2 years ago.
I’m also pumped about the return of 30 Rock this Thursday. I’m not excited about them piling all of my favorite shows on the same night though. Seriously, share the love.
