I just saw a commercial with some Nascar guy and he said “I don’t make right turns.” It dawned on me that that is true, at least for the Brickyard & Indy 500. That track runs counter-clockwise, so now I’m curious if there’s a reason for this direction. Does it somehow make it more difficult or something? Because think about, is it some natural “left to right” thing, because horse races are the same way. Kind of funny. I wonder if there were ever any special consideration of this or if it were just the “natural” way to do things. I think it’d be cool to swap things up and do a right to left race, cater to the Chinese or something, which language…Hebrew or something that’s R to L??? Wish I had someone to ask.
