Quick Share of an Awesome Day
http://www.thiscellardoor.com/blog/entry/quick_share_of_an_awesome_day/
I managed to get out of bed in time to meet up with Amy to carpool. That’s always nice. Got to pitch my new script concept to a client after the first one had been beaten down to nothing with changes. She loved it! Wants 2 words changed. Not bad.
At the end of the day, Pres pulled me in and mentioned they’d just sold a big group of the products that I’m pretty much solely responsible for to a real estate gig down in Sarasota, FL. It appears I’ll be getting to fly down there for a week and photography multi-million dollar estates. It will be hectic and stressful, but so fricken righteous at the same time.
I just spent the last few hours whipping up some food for the company pitch-in tomorrow. I only signed up for a cheese ball, but I ended up making bacon-wrapped weenies and pecan pick-ups as well. I got a little carried away, because it is now way past my bedtime and I just realized I never had dinner. Oh well now.
I’m beat but I must say I’ve never loved work so much in my life. I’ve spent the last 2 days pretty much solely writing, editing audio, playing in Flash, and seeing some of my past photo adventure pics finally getting put to some good use in a new print piece. My work mentor is so amazing. I’ve never had anyone teach me so much. I’m soaking it all up. I’m turning in to his shadow, mainly by his request, and he’s really happy with my progress. I’m finally a true apprentice. It’s such a rush to finally work with someone that has so much more experience and know-how than I do and isn’t a jerk about it.
Now if only I could magically sell my house and buy a new one, life would truly be grand.
But that is all, I must pry my eyes open in 5 hours :(
