UPDATE:

3 hours later. I’ve created another video. It’s not elligible for the contest, but while I was looking for something on an external drive, I came across footage I didn’t know I had. Footage that was completely related to my ad concept. Typical. This tagline has so many possibilities for visuals/copy, too. Oh well. I will sleep better having made this second version. I was seriously depressed about my first one.

Well, I submitted my Young Lions video. You can vote here. Just search “mindus17”. Please rate it but only if you think it’s 3-stars or more ;) I know it’s not great, but I’d like to at least hit “average”.

I liked my idea. I’m not such a fan of the end result, but it was good editing practice. Surprisingly, I couldn’t find a 5-year-old girl to “star” in my ad. I had all of the scenes planned. I even checked plane tickets to Indy where I would have stars a plenty. It wasn’t worth $1K. Tyler & Mitch were my late night feedback peeps.

Secretly, as much as I hope people sign the petition, I would like to become an internet celebrity and maybe get on the Ellen show and maybe be able to retire and devote my time & money to saving the world.

So yeah, it was a fun weekend. I have NIN this Friday with Jason, so hopefully it’s as great as I’m expecting.

And I’m keeping a look out for tickets to the premiere of Green Day’s American Idiot play at Berkeley. That will be a nice start to September. Oh, and the company bought a bunch of us tickets to the World Football Challenge at Stanford. I’m a total soccer fan these days.
