Poor Judgment Allowance

Well, last night I made one of those spontaneous “oh, what the hell?” decisions. You know, one of those things that if you paused to apply any logic, you’d instantly realize it was crazy?
Well, it was 8:30pm. I had wasted most of my day and the evening wasn’t looking to hold anymore hope. I was chatting with my myspace pal, and he kept saying “just come over.” Well, Rach had just told me earlier in the evening that you only live once, which I blame for my following actions. So I google-mapped his place. 74 miles, prolly wouldn’t arrive til about 10. Any logical person would think that would be a complete waste, but after confirming I could crash on his couch, I said I’d see him in a bit. Keep in mind, I’d been up since 7am.
So I arrived and we took off to get our supplies for the evening: a racing game and alcohol. We settled on Juiced, as Need for Speed was out. Then we hit Kroger since all the liquor stores were scary, but Kroger ended up being just as strange, since all the entrances were barricaded forcing us to enter in the exit.
So we got back to his place, broke out the game and instantly had serious doubts when it made us choose a cell phone and said “muffin” was an invalid name hehe. It turned out to be fun enough though.
We played til like 3:30am and in that time, basically consumed the entire bottle of vanilla vodka with our vodka & cokes. I am horrible at racing games but had a few glory moments. Basically, our system was I bet low, lose the money, and wreck the car then he’d bet big, win, and buy us nice things haha. It was a real give & take. However by the end, he was doing just as horribly as I was. I had to stop playing because I kept having tickle sensations (*shrug* only way to describe) where I’d just hunch over and start cracking up. It was a grand ol’ time.
We attempted to start a movie…Stewie: The Untold Story, which I was very stoked to see, but we pretty much immediately realized we were both about to pass out, so I think we only saw 10 minutes before retiring.
Oh, but our grand thought for the night was a new marketing plan for the video game. “It’s like drinking & driving…in the comfort of your own home.” aka “The Safe Alternative”...so wrong. hehe but yeah, his g/f called and while he was out talking, I had some major struggles with my controller coming unplugged and then when he came back and asked how I did, I paused and was like “I really have no idea. I don’t remember racing at all.” haha that’s when i switched to water.
But yes, I told him that this was my crazy stupid thing to do for the month. Sometimes, you just need to do dumb things. Keeps it real.
I had a fricken awesome time tho. It wasn’t so fun driving home at like 9am, but it was totally worth it. We got along really well. There was no awkward time. He was just like one of my guy friends that I’ve known for ages, so i could talk to him like I’d known him forever. I’m excited to have a new friend in the Indy area, especially one that shares my sense of humor & music taste. I really can’t wait to move and actually have people to hang out nearby.
btw…500th post it seems :)
