Yesterday, I picked up my new dog at the Animal Welfare League. She had an adventurous afternoon: meeting my grandma, visiting our neighbor for a haircut and wash, going home to meet the family and our other 2 dogs, and finally, stopping at John’s before heading back to West Lafayette.

She was a perfect angel all day and slept in the car on the way home that evening. However, when we got to my apartment, her personality swapped and she became this ball of repressed energy. It was a long night. I was up every hour just to check on her and then up at 5am for a potty trip outside. She was good after that, sleeping in my bed until 9 am. I’m still trying to figure out her signals, which is tough.

Her current name is Snippy, but I’m trying to think of something a little better. That name gives her a bad reputation from the start. I’ve tossed around Eve, Noir, Luce, Ami, V…but nothing really seems to suit her. I thought Lucy from Dracula because she looks like an albino bat to me, but I don’t know. Something will come to me.
