Passing Time

I spent my entire weekend sleeping & working. I’ve never been so seriously fatigued in my life. By my 6th or so nap on Sunday evening, I was finally feeling decent. I’m not sure what my deal is, but I really hope there’s nothing wrong with me. Thank you St. Vincent Heart Center for the paranoia-rigged billboard, “Don’t underestimate being overtired.”
My life is kind of in a weird lull right now. Lots going on and no real time to decompress. I’m writing this post to give myself a quick break from work. I have comedy the rest of the week. I hope the comedians are cool guys…I’m going to be dragging by the last few shows.
Last Thursday I hung out at a co-worker’s house to watch a bunch of other co-workers record a song for Hot Box’s National Breadstix day. I won’t lie. It was pretty anti-climatic but cool to see how all the layers are recorded for the mix. I like to think that a real studio is more exciting. I really want to learn how to produce.
Johnny is coming in to town this weekend, which is exciting, but unfortunately, his visit was spurred by some pretty horrible circumstances, so it won’t exactly be a fun social call. I’m hoping to get a chance to say hello, though.
Well, it’s 7:30 and I’m already thinking about sleeping so I should probably get to work before all motivation is lost. I should say, though, before I go, that Amy is awesome. She invited me over for Sunday brunch, and I don’t think she can appreciate how much I needed that escape this weekend.
