I feel as if I haven’t blogged in ages. Everything feels like a whirlwind lately.

Oh, let’s see. Ryan returned to the office after a month-long absence. Cerra and I were terribly excited about that. We laughed way too much this week, but there was much time to make up.

I went to Spindig despite my better judgment, drank despite my better judgment, and punched someone despite my better judgment. In my own defense, I bought my one drink and then a PM bought me another at the same time. My guilt complex obligated me to drink it. Someone stole my coat, which probably upset me more than anything, because finding a coat I liked was rough and now I have to start the process all over again. I ended up having a slumber party with Kali & Caio. We watched 30 Rock & The Office and enjoyed a slice from Escape from New York. It was definitely spontaneous. They offered to take me home but I ended up at their place instead. We discussed the fact that it looked like they tricked me in to going home with them :) It was fun, though. Kali’s cat made a bed by my head so it was nice having a furry friend. Unfortunately for her, I kept catching myself trying to use her as a pillow. The next morning Kali & I had soy-sausage mcmuffin’s in the morning and watched the latest Baliwood releases, which made it very much a classic sleepover.

I did the walk of shame home through Dolores Park since I’d never actually been. My sis called while I was walking and I pointed out the comedy of the apparent walk of shame in last night’s wrinkled clothes and a photo adventure. It was supposed to rain but it was an absolutely pristine morning. Kali generously loaned me a coat & scarf for my journey, as it was chilly.

I saw clouds moving in though and I had made plans to shoot a bunch of footage for my grandma’s christmas gift. So I literally ran home from the bus, changed clothes, and grabbed every piece of equipment I could carry. I wish I had a photo of myself. I was the uber tourist. Camcorder & monopod on the shoulder, backpack, and the big Nikon around my neck. I walked around for 3.5 hours. The rain caught up with me at the Palace of Fine Arts, where I watched a bride running for shelter. Every time I visit that place it starts raining. I stuck it out under a willow tree and sure enough, this crazy blue sky followed the short shower. I got some beautiful photos. However, my shoes were soaked and my socks and it was horrible. I didn’t want to miss the good light so I just dealt with it. The shoes are sort of like chuck’s so the wet fabric basically gripped my foot and I had to pry them off by the time I got home. Ouch.

It was worth the pain, though, because I continued down to Crissy Field where Golden Gate was set against the pretties sky. It was just pristine. I only wish my camcorder would have handled it better. I need to learn how to white balance it and such. My footage is pretty terrible. I got some great photos, though.

I was so exhausted by the time I got back, but I’d made plans to meet up with Ronnie & the swedes at Cheesecake Factory. I mustered up every ounce of energy and packed up my gear. It worked out perfectly because I got footage of Union Square and all the holiday charm. It was a really fun night with the group, too. I sort of feel like the dessert guide for the swedes. I was there for their first pecan pie & cheesecake. hah. We ate out on the terrace (by the Macy’s sign in the photo below), which was freezing, but pretty. We ended the night back at Ronnie’s with a night of Wii. I was sooo exhausted by then. I’m still beat today. My family forgets about the time difference so I often get an early morning wake-up call on weekends.

I’ve spent my afternoon trying to make something out of my terrible footage, but I’m tired and discouraged. It’s 9pm and I’m ready to go to bed. However, I know it’s gonna be a crazy week and there are plenty of other things I need to get done. I’ll post the final video if it’s ever done. It’ll be a bit boring to most…but it’s the best way I can think to show my grandma around.

My first real company holiday party is this week…I need to buy a dress, but that may not happen either. hah. Oh well.
