Today was absolutely lovely, which means only one thing: it shall being snowing within 3 days. Snippy & I took a walk around Blackbird pond and the Celery Bog. This is the third time I’ve had no sighting of Howard at the pond. I’m getting worried. We saw a lovely swan at the bog today, though, which was a rare treat.
Dunstan of 1976design.com posted another puppy film today. I didn’t “aww” as much as the first one, but it was still darling. I burnt the films for my reliable-internet-deprived friend, which was really just an excuse to stop by, so I could meet his dog. Well, Bailey (see photo) was awesome. She had the launched lick attacks down pat. But yes, she was completely adorable. My dog was so adorable that she pulled the garbage can over in the kitchen while I was gone, scattering my 3 ft stack of newspapers to recycle.
So I rushed home from meeting Bailey to try to purchase NIN tickets. For the second time, I was there right when they went on sale and could not get a single ticket. However, I’ve discovered at least 200 on eBay for the Chicago shows, starting at $100-150 each. They normally sell for $30. Needless to say, I’m extremely pissed off right now at people’s greed. These greedy bastards should be charged with theft, because they’re stealing once-in-a-lifetime opportunities from true fans like myself, who just ask for one chance to experience the music first-hand. It’s very disheartening.
On a lighter note, I may be going out with Rachel tonight, unless she ends up driving home. It’ll be nice to get out and socialize. Maybe I could even get some food. Having been over a month since I got groceries, the shelves are getting a bit empty. I’d kill for some hush puppies right now, but I’m trying to be conservative.
