Snippy had a horrible day yesterday. She was stumbling in the morning and coughing the entire day. Right after my friend left last night, she was standing in the kitchen and just fell over. She stretched out and went really stiff. I’ve never been so scared in my life. I just looked to my roommate and said, “I don’t know what to do.” She told me to just keep her on her side. It only lasted a minute or so, but it took her a few to come back to normal. Now she’s up wagging her tail and fine, but I know that has to be a horrible sign about how much time she has left.

When the day comes, I’m gonna go completely insane. There’s just nothing I can do for her but buy

overpriced

meds that are supposed to help her feel better along the way. Talk about feeling helpless. But yeah, I woke up practically every hour to check on her. She was sleeping so much more quietly than usual, I was so scared to reach down.

On a completely unrelated topic, I had a friend that I hadn’t heard from in 2-3 years call me last night. I worked with him the summer after my freshman year. According to my cell, we talked for an hour & half. Yeah, it’d been so long that he freaked out when I said I was drinking, because he was like, “wait, you don’t drink” heh

Last night was really strange…all the random events and such seemed so much like a dream, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t.

UPDATE So I just went to the vet and her meds cost 1/3 what they usually do. I could have afforded them sooner in that case. Jeez. But yeah, I had to wait for about 20 min, surrounded by 3 huge dogs: greyhound, great dane, and a 142-lb something appropriately named “bear”. I was glad I didn’t bring snip. The greyhound was so soft, like a rabbit. Of course, the great dane was whimpering the entire time, and I was just cracking up. I’m fairly certain his owner had OCD, which explained the dog’s anxiety. There were 2 cats wandering around, just teasing the 3 dogs. As enjoyable as it was seeing it tease the great dane, I feared the owner might have an attack if I didn’t help, so the cat ended up on my lap. It was an interesting trip and I got gas for 2.09, which I was pleased about.
