Well, 2 nights ago, I was taking Snippy out right before bed. Well, as I looked out the window on the door to my building, I saw 2 little eyes staring up at me. It looked like a tiny chihuahua. I was very confused. It barked at me and ran away as I carried snippy out. So after talking to other people in my building, I realized no one recognized the dog and everyone had been trying to catch it. So it’s 11:30 pm Sunday night and I’m carrying food & water out to a dog. She zooms through the food, so I come back with another bowl and sit right next to it. Soon she’s eating out of my hand. I make a third trip out with a towel and lay it next to me. She sits on it and lets me pet her. Not much longer and she was curled up on the towel, so I scooped her up & carried her in.
So, after 2 nights of sleeping on my patio, I finally got time to give her a flea bath. And now, she is lounging nearby on the couch. She didn’t take long to learn how to make herself at home.
She’s completely adorable. I’m guessing she’s no older than 2 and she’s my sister’s dog’s personality twin. She’s a little ball of energy, and was destined to try to catch the string hanging off my capris today, which made walking pretty difficult for me. She seems to be potty trained and walks wonderfully on a leash. She wipes all her feet after she goes potty, which I might add is adorable.
Snippy is one jealous dog right now though. I bought the girl a collar tho and named her Lily, but I’m trying to find her a nice home. If I don’t find one though, it seems I may have another house guest, which I really shouldn’t have.
In other news, I’m trading my first item on swapsimple.com. I posted some books on there. You earn points when people actually want one of your items and you send them to them. You can use the points to redeem other people’s items. You just print out a pre-paid shipping label and send it off. I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m happy…one less Flash book in the trunk of my car :)
