My First Gig

On my way home this evening, I stopped by my grandma’s house. I hadn’t seen her in awhile and decided to visit. I talked with her for over an hour, and it came up that she was scheduled to write an article for The Weekly, a weekly (no way) free paper in Crawfordsville. A Japanese lady is going to be teaching an origami class at her store next week, so she was going to write about it. Well, now I’m going to attend, write the story, and take the photos. I’m really excited. It’s an excellent opportunity, and I get to learn origami! It will fit nicely with my mad napkin folding skills.
But yeah, I’m home for the week (hopefully). I sort of snuck out of town. My mom’s leaving for Europe Wednesday, so I’m spending some quality time with her. Jenna & I are going to attempt to keep dad’s spirits up in her absence. Anger is his coping mechanism for feeling lonely, and well, we just don’t want anymore of that popping up than necessary. I’m going to take this opportunity with a fully stocked kitchen to experiment with some new recipes. It’s going to be too cold to be outside much, but I’m hoping to squeeze in one 4-wheeler adventure.
Oh! My dog fell down the stairs tonight. It was dark. She was ahead of me and suddenly, I heard her tumbling down! She’s fine, but everyday it becomes more apparent that we were meant for each other. Haha FYI, I’m one clumsy bitch, and falling down stairs is just one of my many talents. Well, Snippy is snoring, and I should be doing the same. And that’s where the cursor stops.
