Muse, Killers, and Link

I just bought CDs for the first time in awhile. I got The Killers’ Hot Fuss and Muse’s Absolution (plus free bonus DVD). It’s not my favorite Muse CD, but I thought the DVD might be cool. Anyway, I came across this site with all the full Muse videos on it. Check it out here: http://www.microcuts.net/uk/multimedia/. The “Sing for Absolution” video is really good. Of course, RealPlayer sucks ass, so I can’t get those to play yet. I just downloaded my RP update, which means one of 3 things: it will work (not likely), there will be no change whatsoever, or my computer will suffer an untimely blue screen of death meltdown (I would kill people).

Also, one of my friends has sparked my interest in the realm of comic books. After hearing excerpts from Transmetropolitan’s Spider Jerusalem, I’m half-intrigued to read it. Also, I had my first Zelda experience last night. I somehow knew about the main character, Link, which my friend & I have traced back to cartoons featured with the Super Mario Brothers back in the day. Actually, my friend looks almost identical to Link (minus the pointy ears but that would be really cool). This Link image is from the upcoming, more realistic-looking release. I got an N64 emulator so I’m playing Ocarina of Time. Using the keyboard is a bit awkward, but I’ll soon have the controls setup in a decent way once I learn how they’re used. (I’m clueless about console games.)
And hopefully, I’ll have big plans for the weekend. Lafayette Jazz & Blues fest or going to see the “Exorcist: The Beginning,” which I might add looks awesome. I know the original didn’t let me down in level of scare.
