Moving Madness

Well, thanks to my awesome family, I have everything in the house cleaned & fixed and all of my stuff moved in. I just have my clothes and some papers in my office to unpack. I hope to get some pictures hung up tomorrow. I have them set around where I think I want them. There’s still more furniture to bring up, but because of the rain, I only have what was in my apt. Hopefully, mom & dad will bring more up in a couple weeks.
I don’t know if I’m just very used to moving or what, but I feel very at home here. It’s odd, but it feels like I’ve lived here for a really long time. I think the house has very positive spirits. My neighbors have been fantastic, offering to let us borrow anything we might need. I met them a couple days ago when I was here with Snippy. They saw her in the yard, so they stopped by to meet me. They are the same age as my parents and have a daughter my age. They were actually going to give me my house key back, but I told them I’d like them to have a copy. It’s not like I know anyone else. hmm seems Purdue lost again. ha.
I’m very happy here, though, but moving and getting everything done…inspections, repairs, utility transfers/hookup, etc has been draining. I’m half asleep now. Well, I’ll probably invite people over once I get a bigger TV. There’s a rumor my parents might be upgrading…*crosses fingers*. My poor 13” looks even smaller in the big room. I wish I could afford to take a week off. I’m mentally & physically drained. This has been a week to remember. That’s for sure. Well, I’m rambling and I know this is boring, but it’s a memorable day and my tiniest feeling needs recorded.
I had a dream last night that I thought of the world’s greatest invention that would make me rich: plastic leaves that sounded like real leaves when they were rustled. Yeah, I just laughed when I remembered my dream. How lame but amusing. It’s nice to wake up to a laugh. I’m using Purdue’s dial-up until my DSL gets transferred. It’s not too bad and apparently, the 90-minute timeout isn’t working. No complaints about that of course.
Well I was hoping to see the amazing Ashlee Simpson on SNL tonight but it seems I’m going to fall asleep instead. Oh. Darn.
