Yesterday evening was amazing. Amy, Alex, and Adam came over for dinner. We followed that up w/ hot fudge sundaes and brownies while watching some old home movies of mine. They did not let me down in laughing their asses off. I got out my trumpet and Adam played us some 1812 Overture. We spent the rest of the night sitting on my study floor just talking and playing with the lil brain teaser toys I had around. It was sooo nice.
I got to bed at a decent hour that night and made it to work at 7:15am. For the most part, my day went amazingly well. That happens when I’m in good spirits. About a half hour before I was gonna leave, so I could go to the Margot concert in Broad Ripple, Mitch asked if I could brainstorm with him for about 10 minutes. I think it turned in to almost 2 hours. I left work just a bit before the show was supposed to start which killed my spirit, so I decided to stay home and work. Of course, I haven’t accomplished a whole lot.
I did have such a nice time brainstorming with Mitch though. I had a real internal struggle about whether I should cut out early. We were trying to come up with a tagline for a fraternity’s sesquicentennial (150th) celebration. We struggled. However, at least 2 good things came out of our meeting:
“sesquin-xellence”
“a buck and a half of awesomeness”
With all the non-usable and sometimes completely unrelated stuff we came up with, we really could have written a sitcom. If only I’d been around for Seinfield. Actually, if all else fails, I’m taking Mitch on the road with me and we’re gonna be a stand-up duo.
Anyway, I’ve just been standing on my balcony taking photos, and really, I just wanted to post the photo. I’m loving this weather. It’s maintaining my sanity.
