Loose in Louisville

Well, last night was my first attendance at a bachelorette party. My sister & I joined my friend, Carrie, and some of her friends for a night on the town in Louisville.
All the girls were really cool, and I was relieved to see there was no penis cake hehe. We ate at Wick’s, which had great food but turns out, was not the best place to take a girl wearing booty shorts & a corset. Sort of a lot of kids & families hehe :) Anyway, we spent a good part of the night at Akiko’s, a karaoke bar. My sister and I had only had about half of a beer each when we got on stage and sang…or tried to sing…“Come on Eileen”. Haha…we actually weren’t horrible until the song got really fast…then we sucked. The worst part was after we signed up, these guys came in, one of them very cute and another who went up right before us was some kind of Luther Vandross. All of us went up and tried to do “bust a move” (pictured). It was pretty incredible.
The cute guy ended up buying us all shots and trying to hook-up with my sister…while I was sitting between them. That was awkward. Turns out he’s an R&B singer though…with a label & records and such. It was enjoyable to have him to look out but he did not strike me as trustworthy for anything more :)
So…I just did some online “research” about cute guy. Turns out this guy was like the heart throb of German teenage girls. See the video. He bought us all jello shots and we have a photo of us trying to take them. That is some funny shit.
So we left there and hung out at O’Shea’s. Did some dancing…had some guys seeing how creative they could be for their “suck for a buck”. There are some interesting photos that may never be allowed to leave our circle.
From there, Carrie had the genius idea to crash the boys’ party at the strip club. So, we couldn’t get in without a male escort, but we finally got in after Carrie said she wouldn’t slap her fiance. We 3 girls with her…it was our first time at such an establishment and I really hope it’s my last. TV/movies glamourize the experience quite a bit. I found it all pretty depressing. Girls my age walking around with no clothes on and doing mindless dancing for guys old enough to be their father. It was pretty gross. However, I will say, there was some impressive pole action. I don’t know how they climb the pole, but they did. I wish I’d had a camera to capture the “coyote ugly” moment when Carrie & Molly got up & danced on stage with all the strippers & barmaids. That was nice since I felt that made everyone hate us less. Each of us got yelled at for showing up. You know you’ve hit a low point when a stripper tells you you made a bad decision :) In our own defense, it was not our idea. We all agreed that the creepiest part was walking in & out the front door of the place. Old man owner wearing his cowboy hat…it was just all too real and too creepy.
It was an interesting night, for sure, but we had good times…i’m looking forward to seeing the photos…we had lots of guys trying to pick us up in their cars. I’ll admit, the attention was pretty nice heh.
