Sometime around 11pm last night my smoke alarms started intermittently chirping. After sniffing around the house and checking the batteries in the alarms, only to discover they were hard-wired, I found myself at a complete loss for explaining the chirping. I called & woke up my parents, the logical thing to do heh. Mom suggested I call the fire department. I got the answering machine. But after 10-15 minutes, they silenced. I was home all day today and there was never a chirp, not even while I was cooking/baking, but a little after 8pm just now, they started doing the same thing they were last night. WTF. The only correlation I’ve made is that my office TV was on, but turning off the TV doesn’t stop it. However, one chirps right in sync with turning it on. Quite confusing and frustrating.

And snippy went to the vet tonight, she had to spend the night there before her surgery to ensure she didn’t drink anything :( The vet is supposed to call between 5-6pm tomorrow, even though she should have the surgery in the morning. They have to keep her until the next afternoon. My poor snip dog.

And the random chirping continues even now. I asked oh wise one Mitch on IM for advice. His first question was whether I had upset any spirits lately. I had been out of town for awhile, so my roomie could have. Wouldn’t that be my luck? She doesn’t move until the 18th, which makes me want to cry.

And looks like I get to endure a snowstorm tomorrow possibly. That should be a fun commute. At least I made chocolate chip cookies to take with me.
