Killer Dogs

Disclaimer: This post is not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach.
I believe this is dream #5 or so to come true-ish.
Last night I had a terribly disturbing dream centered around cats & dogs. I’d apparently purchased this gigantic red barn with 2 smaller barns inside to remodel as a house, despite my parents freaking out. As I walked around the barn, I looked over at the hay mounds, expecting to find some wild animals, and then sure enough, they appeared. It was a possum and two cats. As the possum moved closer, I realized it was a cat as well. It was albino with red eyes and unusual crimson colored patches under its neck and on its tail. I hesitated to try to pet it.
The rest of the dream was something about a house full of dogs & my friends. One dog bit me as I was trying to get it out of the house, because it was infected with something. Basically, we were all trying to save ourselves and the remaining dogs.
So anyway, real life this morning, I let snippy out. I go to my office, and I realize it’s been a long time and she hasn’t barked. I go to the door and see her sitting out in the yard, seeming to be chewing something. I call her inside, and I see the area around her mouth soaked in blood and a spot on her back w/ a chuck of something and blood. Recall, almost identical red spots on my white dog as on the cat in the dream.
I was pissed, because she just had a bath yesterday, so I got her cleaned up. I was not looking forward to finding what she killed or found in the yard, but I went out towards the spot nevertheless. It was a horrible site. I saw chunks of feathers everywhere and one chuck with a bird leg sticking out of it. I nearly lost it. I’m not sure I can bring myself to bury it and there’s no where I can just toss it. Days like this I wish I had my farmer boy friends as a neighbor. I could probably ask the neighbor guy, but I’m not sure that’s up his alley either.
argh, sometimes I scare myself and sometimes my quirky dog scares me.
