It’s Mine

Ladies & Gents, ( I love saying that )...oh man, I just realized I add a space inside my parentheses…eh, at least I’m sticking to my coding conventions. Well, by now you may have already picked up on the intent of this post. I bought a house. Well, I’ve signed the paper. It’s not closed yet or anything, but I hope to have it finalized by mid-October. I will be renting out a room, so if you know someone nice & quiet & possibly interested, send ‘em my way…girl, guy, other…doesn’t matter. I’ve never written a check for 4 figures, so that was weird. I’m still basically in shock. I don’t think it will set in until I’m moving. It’ll be sad in a way, this apartment has become my little mini-home, and I’ll be paying dearly to leave it early. ugh
In other news, there is a CityBus driver on my kill list. The bus decided to be 5 min early on the day I was 5 minutes late leaving work. I ran 2 blocks to try to catch the bus. There was even a red light and ambulance that stalled it for me. Well, I was about 1 bus length away flailing my arms in the air, as the group boarding the bus stared at me. Well, I got just past the end of the bus and it just LEFT!!! I threw my arms in the air and a “fuck!” may have slipped out. I heard a honk and the trolley guy behind the bus flags me on to his trolley. He was like my knight trying to get me to my bus, so we got stopped right behind them at the next red light, so I ran out the trolley, arms still flailing. That ass left me AGAIN!! The trolley dude finally called dispatch and they were supposed to wait for me while I ran another 2 blocks. The bus didn’t wait, so I found out that my apt is a 25-minute walk from Purdue West.
Other random things: I followed a John Deere with duals down 52 & 26 today, which I found amusing. It’s not something I’d expect to see away from home. haha and yes, I made my Tim the Toolman “ar-ar-ar” as the guy made a left turn at the light, because he was rockin’. It made me miss my Caddy though, as did a Lincoln I heard this morning while waiting for the bus. My current car just doesn’t have that same “kick”.
Also, I read this great quote on a poster at Hobby Lobby while I was waiting on mattes:
“In solitude we are least alone.” - Lord Byron
There was a fantastic photo with it, too. I can’t wait to buy prints to decorate my place. I’m definitely going to get some Rothko and maybe some Hirschfield works. I want to have themes to my rooms, but that will be years from now when I have more spare money hehe. I’d like to get my friend to paint a mini-mural in my office. Any suggestions for the subject?

To be with you - Mr. Big
