You know when you want to get up early and have a productive day, but every time your alarm goes off, you’re just like “only 10 more min”. um yeah well, I actually got up without hitting snooze today and had 2 great hours of work. It was all going well until I decided to take an hour music downloading break for lunch. umm yeah “Okay, just a few more minutes…I’ll just finish these songs…” ha, 6 hours later, I finally finished.

I got some *really* great music, though. I’m guessing around 40-50 songs in all. I’m officially in love with My Morning Jacket, The Walkmen, and Keane. I’d heard a lot about Keane, because they seem to be the most advertised band ever at launch. The other 2 bands were recommendations from a friend. Oh, I also got some Wilco who was recommended by another friend. I’m seriously in love. I think I mentioned that. I wanted to see any of them live, but NO, I always like the bands about a month after their last show. Ugh. Oh, I did get some Snow Patrol as well, and they have a show in Chicago 12/5. Wilco’s in NYC for New Year’s Eve. Tell me what an awesome NYE that would be. I’ve never done anything cool like that. (Last year with my dad & his buds playing pool was fun times, though). Keane has a show on my birthday in Chicago. I just have to find some people to go with me.

My music addiction gets worse by the day, and last weekend, with live blues and good company, put me on cloud 9. Nothing, I repeat, nothing, beats good people and good music. So if anyone’s up for those shows, let me know. You will be my best friend, especially if your name’s Evan, Blaine, or Johnny :) They love me, despite what they tell you. Haha. Speaking of which, I’m still waiting on a new track release from Johnny…

Check out these bands, though. My Morning Jacket has a lovely southern/acoustic sound. I bet they’re amazing live band, the kind where even if you’re in a crowd of thousands, you can just close your eyes and go to another place.
