I Love My Vaio

Well, I never did show a picture of my cool laptop, so here’s one from Sony. It’s nearly been through all of my endurance tests (no I don’t meet jumping on it). It’s really fast, and I hardly notice any difference between it and my desktop. I finally got a chance to try it out on campus today at a meeting. With brightness down 2 notches, I still had over 5 hours of battery life left after running it for 2 hours. This was all while using wireless! There was no lag in the Internet either (I’d read some reviews that the net lagged on wireless). It worked beautifully. I’m getting really good with the touchpad (too lazy to buy a mouse). I only wish the web browsing feature worked with Firefox. I’m looking for a hack.
So far, my only two concerns are that the hard drive is pretty loud, but I didn’t notice it at the meeting today. It’s only when it’s just me and there’s no background noise, which is rarely the case. I usually at least have music. The other thing is more of a convenience issue. No volume controls. Well there is with the FN key but they made the text blue which is really hard to read on the black keys. Adding keyboard backlighting like the mac’s would be very, very nice.
Oh and I’ve experienced no issues with a glare on the glossy screen. I just think it looks great. My LCD looks dim after using the laptop. Heh and yeah, at the meeting today, I looked over at Johnny. He was sitting there shaking his hand in the air. Apparently, he finally noticed my shakiness hehe. It’s pretty obvious when I can’t hold my hand steady over the touchpad. I think it’s impressive that I’m even able to use the touchpad. Clearly, it’s not too sensitive because my impairment doesn’t hinder its use.
Oh and for you CG fools, Carlos may finally be getting what’s coming to him. muwahaha people are on to his evil games.
