Hot Times

I like to pick really hot days to decide to walk really far in direct sun. Anyway, it worked out because since there’s a drought, a magical path across the bog appeared today. I followed the narrow area all the way across, but then I started seeing targets hanging from the trees and some trash, so I started watching out for bear traps. I eventually found myself standing in someone’s backyard. oops heh.
As I stood staring at some tree, I noted a rustling in the grass. I remained still with my camera posed in the direction of the sound. It grew closer and closer until I finally saw a small furry thing scuttling toward me. It paused and popped up. I’ll be honest. I was a little nervous and jumped a bit at that moment, but then I saw it’s 2 tiny ears. It was a baby rabbit. I was so close to it. If I’d had a zoom lens, I could be showing you its eyelashes now, but alas, this extremely cropped version will have to do.

I finally managed to get some photos of the gigantic swan I drive by all the time. It’s seriously as big as me. If it had attacked me, I’d have been a gonner.

But I need to go meet up with some ppl for Chinese so that’s the end of the story. Wish me luck with my work meeting tomorrow. I’ll be heading down to Louisville from there for the weekend. Hopefully, I’ll have some good photos to share from that trip.
