Not the show. I was never a big fan. I just returned from the big photo shoot at the fountain. It was a riot.  Funny things can happen when you mix a Frenchman, German, and Indians. French guy was standing on the fountain yelling, “Give me an N! Give me a C! Give me an N! What’s that spell?!” haha there was definite stare-age from the campus group tours. I got to play shot angle & people arranger. The camera was a Nikon D70 *drool* Hopefully I’ll have a picture to share soon.

From there, I booked it across campus (fricken cold) to pick up timecards and ran in to a guy from my major, Nathan. I hadn’t seen him for a year. I broke my “no elevator” rule to chat with him a bit. You may have noted by now that I’ve provided a map of this morning’s adventures. We’re currently about to leave blue trail for the green. I made good time since I managed to meet the rest of my original photo group coming towards me. As we’re crossing in the middle of the street, I wave and then Kevin is like “Wait…did you just come from…???” I say a quick “yes” and then scadoodle on across as I see the big truck about to hit me. haha yeah I made it to the 4th floor of the building & talked with Nathan before they’d gotten anywhere near the building. I’ve got mad skills.

So I’m still walking and I squint thinking I see familiar faces. Sure enough, Johnny & Hennis departing from their 456 lab. Johnny rambled about something like Ron letting other people hack his account. I couldn’t really hear because my ears needed to pop from the elevator ride.

Well, now for the main reason I provided the map: to show how big of a dumbass I am. You’ll note that I walked nearly two blocks past my car and looped around. I have a tendency to mumble little songs to myself, so I started singing “doo doo don’t know where my car is…do dooo” Sometimes I forget people can see my lips move even if I’m not making sound. Oh well. I finally got myself oriented with the big barn/church structure. Yeah, I was lost going from the fountain to Young, too. I kept glancing everywhere. I was COMPLETELY disoriented. Maybe it’s a tumor.

On the way to my car, I passed a familiar looking car and the plates confirmed it was a kid I knew from HS. Hah. When I finally got to my car, I saw a house I’d never seen before that has big triangle windows at the top. It’s high enough that I bet there’s a nice view of campus. It was an interesting find. I knew I was in a really good mood after that because of how much I was enjoying the radio—every station rocked. There was some great country on this morning and I did some dancing to “Night Moves” along the way. Haha, the guy in front of me was going so slow I didn’t need the gas pedal anyway.

Finally, I got back home after a sidetrack to the bank. I love making deposits. Snippy didn’t wreck the house and I had a message waiting for me from the editor of The Weekly. She said how much she liked my story and the accompanying photo and wants me to write an article about a cheese factory in my hometown. I wasn’t able to get through to her but she had the best voice mail message in the world: “This is Judy…sorry missed your call (etc)...” then you hear this click and her mumbling “grr dang it…” and another click. Hahaha it was so hard not to laugh when I was leaving the message.

Well I need to break out my mad work skills. I might like to go out for a bit tonight to celebrate…something.
