Gourmet Day
http://www.thiscellardoor.com/blog/entry/gourmet_day/
Well, I’ve finally started to reap the benefits of having a dog wake me up at 4-5am every morning. This morning’s sunrise was gorgeous. It felt just like the old days, standing outside taking pictures while everyone else slept, except back in the day, I wouldn’t go back to bed :-/ Anyway, I had to share some of my photos. You might note in the first where the water level is in comparison to the tree and the debris that was washed ashore (not sure if I can use that word with a pond, but who cares, I just did). Post with a picture of the flooding.

This evening I decided to cook myself a nice meal. And yes, I have some weird obsession with photographing my prepared food. It all started back in my 4-H days when I’d bake things that took 7 hours, so I wouldn’t let anyone touch it until I had a nice photograph taken to remember it. As soon as I get myself an oven thermometer, I’ll hopefully start baking like that again.
Random side notes: I’m considering buying a house, and I found this song, Bright Eyes - Let’s not shit ourselves (to love and be loved), that I was listening to today especially interesting.
