Good morning, 2007

NYE at Adam’s was a riot. A little too much drinky, swisher sweets, and a lot of wii. And it’s all on film. I’ve been too scared to capture the footage. However, I am looking forward to reliving the moment the ball dropped and the TV switched to some eddie izzard or something show that to all of us looked like porn. As we all turned to adam in horror, he fumbled with the camera & the remote only to land us on a commercial about starving children in Africa. It may just hold on to being the most dramatic 1 minute of 2007. It was truly amazing how much that big ball of lights still means to a group of intoxicated 25-ers. And dare we forget the awkward car trip to the gas station for ice & the swisher sweets, where we encountered a policeman hanging out with the station attendant. We were giggling so much that I felt compelled to mention the fact that we hadn’t even started drinking yet.
Before the festivities, I had a friend pull through on a promise to call me before the holiday and thus, let our friendship continue. All the excitement that followed that evening couldn’t replace how much that meant to me.
Even earlier in the day, I fought 2 million colts fans for parking to go to the Indy Auto show. It was pretty nice…fewer cars thrill me these days but I did fall in love with the Versa. However, I came to the conclusion that I’d rather drive a boat of a car and have money to not work for a few months.
But really, the reason I’m doing a morning post here is because I just got an email with a line worth quoting, not for humor, but for pure genius.
