Game Night

Last night was a much needed evening of fun. Several saucers, and some past, joined up at Coop’s for a night of gaming. Three Xbox’s running Halo 2, made for 12 happy boys. Lacking any skills in traditional console gaming, I avoided Halo and teamed up with the wives club for most the night.
I was wildly disappointed by Mario Party 8 on Wii. Even with drink, lasting the hour game was hard for me. It was essentially a boardgame that made me click through unnecessary dialogue. The fun level definitely went up when we just played actual boardgames. We played “luck of the draw” or something like that, and I dominated. I won’t lie. I enjoy winning. It was great times though. It was a solid wives club. It’s rare that there are that many women at a party, and I don’t dislike any of them.
A few things I learned over the course of the night: tonic water cannot be substituted with club soda, club soda & lime vodka is disgusting, and lime vodka & lemonade is delicious. Later in the night, I named that last concoction the “thrill ride”, because that’s exactly what it was. Start asking for it. However, be warned that you may start spouting inappropriate comments like “well, what else do special ed kids have to do in school?”. Of course, that’s purely hypothetical. I definitely didn’t say that.
That said, I owe Adam big for offering to be DD. I still would have had a good time without drinking, but my lack of inhibitions definitely took it to the next level. I’m pretty sure that I may be teased quite a bit on Monday. I don’t think the guys realized what they were getting in to when they invited me. We 5 women definitely out-funned/hollered the 12+ guys in attendance. “Kill-tacular!”
Also, I was just booked to MC for Crackers again in October. It’s at Broad Ripple this time which is exciting! It’s bigger and a nicer stage. I’ll be working with Adam Ferrara & Ryan Dalton. Good times ahead.
