Fucking Unbelievable Night

We had our client wrap-up celebration last night. Our clients came up from Evansville to join us. I warn that this will likely be a long post, but there’s just that much excitement to share. I fear I’m still a little intoxicated…I just talked to my sis for an hour on the phone and I think I said “I had a really good time” at least 100 times and then I’d just drift off. Anyway, now you get to hear all about it…minus a few details :)
I wore a skirt for the first time since graduation. I think I looked damn good. We all met at BW3’s, and I ended up running into Janke while I was looking for people and she confirmed I looked “super cute” hehe she also said how amazing we all were for pulling off this project. Hell yeah.
So some SOT guy bought all our dinners. Cool. Net had to leave after 20 min and the SOT guy left as soon as we were done eating. Luckily, by getting there early with backpack boy, I was able to choose a seat, not next to him. He ended up being surprisingly cool last nigh, though. After seeing him rap, I can die happy. Speaking of dying, my death came up somehow and Johnny called dibs on my laptop and Snippy. Sorry people. BW3’s was playing wonderful music: Modest Mouse, Killers, Eminem. Good stuff.
Ron bought us all a round. Johnny & Mark recommended the captain & coke. I was up for trying anything. It was really good, though. I ended up having three. Our table went through a helluva lot of beer. Our table was so loud. Well, mainly the client people. Kellen was amazingly unobnoxious. He was even the first to leave. Weird. It was much more fun with fewer people. I loosened up more and alcohol helped that a bit, too. Oh yeah, Kellen bought us a round of shots. I had a buttery nipple. It was my first shot ever, and I think I did well. I can’t open my throat up like some people. That makes me gag, but Mark & Jeff said I did well. I don’t know what was in it but it tasted like butterscotch and it burned. Strange feeling.
The clients were crazy drunk. Johnny & Andy had an hour discussion about poker. I was hoping I’d actually get to learn to play but Andy wussed out, knowing he’d lose lots of money in his wasted state. I can’t really afford to play poker anyway. (Oh yeah, I gave up the fulltime job. Ha, yeah my parents will die. I have too much living left to do to be tied down to a job like that.) Andy broke in to random bits of rapping and Johnny & Evan provided him with some beats. So fucking hilarious. It seems Evan really is damn good. Oh and Kellen wanted to fight someone. I offered but he backed down. Represent.
Around midnight, I believe it was Evan who suggested we all go dancing at Where Else? Jeff decided to go back to the Union. It was probably a good idea. I fear he might have ended up arrested somehow heh. We were so close to getting Ron to go, but I failed that mission. Johnny, Evan, Andy, and I went to Where Else?. It was ladies night, so I got in free which was completely awesome. We encountered two CG guys; I swear the 2 most annoying guys in the major. Anyone in 356 with me will recall they were the “center guys.” That was less than exciting but it was a great chance for me to talk some smack. One of them asked if I were waiting on a beer. About the time I said,“uh…no”, a miller light got shoved in my hand. So very gross. I drank about half but only because I had a mint that I’d take a big draw on after every sip. I admit it was more tolerable than other beers I’d had.
And then came the real fun. We went straight to the dancefloor which we practically had to ourselves. Andy (age 30) totally broke into some Irish jig footwork. He was attracting some attention. One guy looked at me and pointed to Andy with a bad look. That bitch. I smiled and gave him two thumbs up. Then that guy tried to impress me, and I turned away hehe. I’m awesome.
It was my first Johnny dancing experience. Honestly, I’d have to go with Blaine as the best of the 3, but it’s a tight race. They each have their own style. Johnny working his suit coat scored him some points. Hell, wearing a suit coat (can I call them a blazer or no?) with a (very neat) My Morning Jacket t-shirt was badass in itself. Classy. Johnny was trying to find a girl to hook up with Andy. I think that mission failed pretty quickly hehe. Lost cause.
It was my first time dancing in public. Shut up, I know I’m behind. It was fun, though a bit of a challenge with a damn purse. Impossible with purse & beer. They also played Modest Mouse which was lovely because I always dance to that at home. Also, we heard some Sweet Caroline which is such a good song. I told my sis that I semi-danced and she hesitantly asked, “umm how did that gooo?” hehe I don’t think I was completely horrible. I kept it pretty toned down. However, our dancefloor was soon invaded which kinda pushed me off to the wall. Stupid “dirty dancing”. Seriously, they try way too hard. I fought the urge to point and laugh.
Johnny & Evan challenged some guys to a dance challenge. Oh boy, words cannot describe it. To sum it up, Evan humped the floor, Johnny grinded on one of the guys, and the other duo cheated with Mr. Roboto and other hijacked moves. Johnny & Evan’s stuff was purely original. They totally owned that challenge. Damn, such a good time, a very good time. It was like client meeting fun on steroids. Johnny asked me what I was going to do without he and Evan. I told him I had no idea and that I cry about it every night. He thought I was joking :) Ok so I don’t cry but I get bummed thinking about a Johnny & Evan-less existence.
Andy left early. We hope he found the Union ok. Oops. The rest of us crashed at Johnny’s crackhouse. It was just like old times with John & Zach, staying up late, not being able to go home and crashing there. I was totally in my niche with all the guys last night. Johnny had a really big Toshiba TV with lots of channels. It was wonderful. I had to squint at first, since my eyes weren’t ready for so much light. heh I swear while I was sleeping though, I heard someone in the house scream “...my god!” I thought it was Evan. I’d only been asleep like 10 min and it woke me up. Then I couldn’t get to sleep…nothing like insomnia at 2:30. I heard a TV on in Johnny’s room. I was hoping he was still up but I wasn’t sure so I just whispered at the door, “Johnny?...Johnny, are you awake??? I’m thinking that’s a no…Johnny?”. I was just too drunk & excited to sleep. I like to listen to people talk when I’m drunk. I think I listen better.
Well Johnny took me back to my car in the morning. No ticket. Phew. It worked out that my dog was with my parents. That could have been bad. Evan’s off to NY, but I’m hoping Johnny will come back to visit me and hang out.
Oh and shout out to my sis for cleaning my house & getting all my errands & groceries taken care of. So nice to come home this morning and see the top of my kitchen counters and desk. Yes, I’m paying her for the help.
It was a fucking awesome night with some memorable quotes that won’t mean anything to most of you
“can’t stop til I rock”
“I have 3 kids!!”
“2” penis”
“umm go home and beat your wife?”
“big man on campus”...craziness”
“omg I’m in that major too”
“I have 3 kids!!” intentional repeat :)
“so are you a real cubs fan?”
“can you make the colors…pop?”
I fear I’ve forgotten crucial moments, please comment additions.
Update: eek, I just looked at this finished post, and it’s longer than I thought. I swear this is the edited version.
