Freelance Blues

Well, the worst part of this freelance business is finding hosting for the client. I was spoiled at school, having a server at my disposal with every component or option I’d ever need to complete a project. Now, until such a time that I can purchase my own server, I do not have this luxury.
GoDaddy.com is about to drive me insane because they shoot down every request I make. However, I’ve discovered a tool to help me out: Component Checker. Upload this script to your hosting space, and it will check for the existence of 718 server components. This allows me to bypass idiot tech support and see exactly what I have at my disposal. Using this tool, I discovered that I’d been lied to and Godaddy did indeed have a file upload component installed. This discovery yielded a slow, evil laugh followed by “take that, bitches.”
Anyway, I’m going to see Aaron Tippen this weekend, and my Friday is full of meetings, one of which is with a potentially very large client. Getting that job might make my dreams of being a homeowner more possible.
