Okay, I may have lied. Little other to report other than that video took me all day to put together and iMovie ‘08 has dropped the fast/slow/reverse feature and ability to fine tune audio fades. It’s going to make it very difficult to do some ideas I have for the other footage, but I’ll do my best. I used music that I could hear playing in the background of the footage, so it’s a legit soundtrack. iMovie ‘08 made some really nice advancements. It’s just a shame they dropped parts that were already working well.

Not much else to report here. I made my first grocery run yesterday. Lots of friendliness at Whole Foods. I bought my reusable bag and filled it with all organic foods. The food was expensive but has been delicious so far. Two thumbs up for sourdough.

Paige called this morning. She & Hal are partaking in the Bay to Breakers festivities tomorrow. It’s not so much the large number of runners (~70,000) as the clothes they choose to wear or take off. I’m told there are full-costumed groups, sidewalk drinking, and running naked old people. I have no doubt it will be unlike any Sunday morning I’ve ever witnessed.

Only 1 day left of being unemployed. I’m really looking forward to getting a paycheck :) So far, so good. The time difference makes it hard to keep up with friends, but I’m managing to keep busy and I’m honestly surprised at how not weird I feel. Everyday is a new adventure and that’s how I like it. My parking landlady drove me around a bit today (she needed me to move my car in the garage…construction stuff). Anyway, she’s super cool and gave me some great tips. She’s lived here since she was 14. My main concern right now is finding an apartment. I know what I want is harder to find, but I’m not cutting any corners on this adventure.

So far my sunshine theory lives on. Blue skies keep me from missing home.

And, Paige, Hal, and I may be seeing Margot next weekend. They’re playing literally a block from where Paige & Hal live. How cool to have Indy come to me.

Stay tuned for more videos and reports on how much I love my new job.
