Mark this down. Feb 25 & 26 Mindy returned to the stage (after 4 years) with a debut in San Francisco. I have no video or photographic evidence that it happened, but we had two sold out shows at the Dark Room theater in Mission and it was pretty awesome.

I had a crazy work at week and finished writing my material the night before our first show, and yet, somehow it wasn’t a complete failure. It was a great show all around. The sketch show was really entertaining and my friend Jeff rocked it as always. There was Indiana representation in each of the 3 acts, so that was cool that 120 San Franciscans paid to see us perform.

If any video surfaces, I’ll post it. It felt great to be back on stage and I got a lot of positive responses from perfect strangers. I especially liked the Indian woman who shook my hand, and said, “You are extremely talented.” She’s a keeper :)

It was good times in the green room and fun catching up with Jeff. Everyone in the show was awesome, and it just felt good to be doing something in my new city at last. I had a lot of people turn up to support me Saturday night, so it was a very interesting night out in the mission afterward.

Anyway, I was freaked out but I feel good having pulled it off. I can finally retire my career on a positive note and mark the last item off my 2010 to-do list. The sketch duo asked if I’d want to open for them again or even join their sketch group. I was flattered but passed. Life already seems too busy. How is it that I ran out of time for everything all of the sudden?

Oh and I spent Saturday before the show helping Tim & Emily move to their sweet new place. We moved them in so well that I was able to spend the night in the guest room hehe. Looking forward to hanging out there more! Really happy they got out of the bad living situation they were in.
