Well, I never got a chance to eat. At this point, I may as well wait until 5. Minutes after the FedEx man was here, an Insight cable guy dropped by (with the longest nose hairs I’ve ever seen…they curled! ugh). I’m just too smart. When I first moved in, I called Insight about cable deals and the lady was rude and said, “oh, we have this deal with free installation and digital cable for only $40…blah, blah” I said, “Lady, I want your BASIC package.” Her logic was horrible. Anyway, this guy said they were offering free installation and half off all their packages, so I said, “hell yeah, that’s what I’m talking about.” So, Mindy’s getting cable!! I will miss the delicate art of tinkering with rabbit ears *sigh* Anyway, so with that guy stopping by, there was no time to eat before I had to drop my car off and meet Annette.

The ride home with Annette was awesome. Apparently, The Exponent printed every employee’s salary today. I feel really bad because the secretary lady only makes $11/hr. She must really be disgusted by how much we make on our grant project. Anyway, it was interesting to see those numbers.

We also talked about these 2 people in CGT who have become infamous it seems. Nina & Matt S. Annette’s pretty sure she’s going to hell, but I figure we’ll all go in good company. It seems I’m not the only one who has put on headphones with no music playing just to keep Nina from asking me questions. Fun times. Then it came up that she’d like to be Johnny Slack for a day, and I totally agreed. We both sort of mentioned a fan club at the same time, and it was decided that it should be called the “Johnny Slack Superhero Fan Club.” We’re going to tell Johnny this Friday hehe. When he becomes a big superstar musician, we can be his groupies! I’m not sure what we’d be called if he sticks with Flash. Swfies? Vector-fairies? ASes? hehe that one’s funny. Go me. I’m in a good mood despite really nasty weather.

*pause* phone…another guy at Purdue wanting to give me work. This guy loves me. He’s literally my personal job search agent.
