I survived my first stand-up routine. I got flowery and ran out of time so I had to cut a lot of my stuff out at the end, but it was all good. My mom, lots of ladies from her card club, my high school english teacher, and so many friends from work came out to support me. I had a stellar post-performance applause :) I’m stoked. Had lots of other comedians say some good things. One even said something like I could take it far. Whether or not they were just trying to encourage a newbie, they were all so kind. And I’ve decided to go back next week for sign-up. I’ll tell you what…I felt at home on that stage and once I get used to the blinding lights, invisible audience, and the mic, I think I could actually rock this gig. I wasn’t scared at all once I was up there. I was just mad that I ran out of time! I coulda stayed up there the full 6 minutes.

Anyway, it was amazing and I can’t wait to try it again. I’m holding out for own sitcom haha. And I’m really thankful to have so many friends that came out. For the record: Amy, Alex, Adam, David C., Alex C., Bryan, Kim G., Kim M., Kim’s hubby, David M., Justin, Andrew, Rob, Emily R., Emily P., mom, Susan, Cindy, Darlene, and good ol’ Duley who bought a t-shirt for me to sign :)

20 people, not too shabby.

And the to do before I die list gets another thing marked off.
