Behind the scenes video from the making of Margot’s new album, Animal!. Exciting stuff.

I’m still not feeling fantastic, mainly just a stuffy nose & major fatigue at this point. But a 12+ day cold, that’s not right.

Helped Dave take care of one of his free hot box pizzas last night. He won the Show Us Your Tats photo contest. (Hot Box Pizza). We had a nice chat, even if it consisted of a depressing overview of our mutual friends’ successes. Yes, Johnny, you were a major topic.

My main project at the moment is writing a piece for my little brother’s senior yearbook ad. I did the design while I was home, but the copy is taking some time. I just couldn’t let what my mom had written go to print. She & I are still fighting about creative differences. I wish I had the PSD with me to put it to a vote. Basically, I think it should be illegal to have a 2-page spread of full color photos and put a solid powder blue background. Color overload. She believes that since it is in color, it would be wasteful to have any part of the page in white. And apparently a design is boring if it doesn’t have a title in a massive script font. Sigh. You’d think a CG degree would give me some veto power on the matter.

Also, for anyone else who has shared my frustration with Firefox being a slow beast on their mac, I’m now a BonEcho user. They have builds for Intel macs too. It’s amazingly faster.

Optimized Firefox builds

Clayton Miller Band is opening for BB King tonight in Chicago. I’m bummed (American, not British bummed) I couldn’t go. I’m planning to head up to Lafayette for their show at the LBC, though. Should be a great time.

In the meantime, I’m sorting all my stuff whenever I have the energy. So much stuff to sell & give away. I still haven’t taken my recycling either. My energy comes in small spurts, and usually on days it’s too cold to leave.

Anyway, as soon as I get over this sickness, I’ll be in good shape. I’m tired of dragging about. Oh, and I killed my laptop. Completely killed it. I’ve emailed a random computer engineer about fixing it. Haven’t heard back, though, so it looks like I’ll be going to Fry’s to buy a case for the HD so I can get my data at least. I’m crossing my fingers the HD is okay. It should be.
