Well, here’s a picture of the flooding from last week. If you’ll note, the cement at the bottom of the pic is my back porch. The pond is normally a good 10 ft behind the tree. Had my fishing pole not been in the repair shop, I would have totally taken advantage of the lazy-fisherman setup. hehe

Luckily, it seems the water is going down a bit so I don’t have to fear moving out of my apartment…again. The rain may actually provide me with the company of my friends this weekend since their job might be rained out. We plan on hitting the Taste of Tippecanoe. I want to see Governor Davis. I’ve heard he’s awesome. Plus, food…yes, food is always a good thing. And fireworks…no outing is complete without them.

My neighbor brought his classic VW beetle to his apartment yesterday. Some of you CG people may recall seeing a photoshopped 211 version of this precious little thing. Well, I’m on weird terms with this guy and his roommate, so I had to wait until they all left to run over and take pictures. I just couldn’t resist. Orange is my color for this session of my life, so I’ve made this car the official Diary of a Madwoman pace car…or yeah, you get the point. I’m such a rebel.

As a random side note, I just successfully made butterscotch brownies. Pecan Twists shall be my next quest as soon as I’ve consumed the brownies. I love food. I was craving Chinese tonight (who would have thought I’d ever say that), so, of course, I searched for recipes, all along knowing I wouldn’t have a single ingredient. After examining the recipe for General Tso’s chicken, I decided against attempting to cook it myself. Hopefully, I luck into some at the Taste of Tippecanoe. And btw, Uncle Ben does not hold a candle to Lipton or Rice-a-Roni. Not at all. Yuck.
