So I checked out “Worst Music Ever” tonight at Knockout in Mission. A guy from work, Ryan P., & his bff, Dimitri, were spinning what they considered the “worst music ever”. All this, after an evening of bingo hosted by the bar.

Honestly, I was sad that I didn’t arrive in time for the start of bingo….next time.

Anyway, it was a fantastic time. I really wish it weren’t on a weeknight or they might find me there every week. Hanging out on the stage made me feel pretty VIP, despite the very non-VIP vibe of the entire night. I got a few requests played through including “Shoop!” and “Cold-hearted Snake”. They pretty much played every guilty pleasure song from my college days. It was soooo much fun. I had a great time. I’m gonna keep this short & sweet, though, as it’s nearly 2am, and I have to be up in 5 hours.

I struggled with the photos…mainly because I was too tired/intoxicated to realize my eyepiece focus had gotten knocked off whack. I was like “why doesn’t anything look in focus?” hah. I’d never adjusted the eyepiece focus to realize it could have changed. Nevertheless, I used tonight as make-up for my lack of portrait/action shots for photo week.

Anyway, there were some fantastic dancers and a night full of way too many songs that I knew the words too. I’m not sure who was more mortified by my appreciation of the supposed “worst music,” Ryan or Dimitri. Either way, they both rocked the mixes. They blended some pretty bipolar songs completely seamlessly.

I’ll definitely be back some night…hopefully with a partner for bingo. Who doesn’t love free bingo?
