I deserve to be shot for my lack of work ethic. Seriously. I’m thinking of buying a monitor. A guy at Purdue has a brand new 19” dell LCD he’s selling for $340. I figure if I sell my Wacom on eBay that will pay for big chunk of it. I’ve only used it about 3 times anyway. I have to get my car fixed this week, so my purchase sort of depends on how much that sets me back.

Also, my apologies for the quantity and dullness of posts this weekend. I just took a lovely nap, and I think I’ve finally got my head out of my ass.

I’m loving all my new music btw. I listened to them during my nap. I don’t think it was just the act of sleeping that made me feel better. Back when I had a roommate, I would listen to either OK Computer or Tchaikovsky with headphones while I fell asleep. It was all good but 1812 overture would give me quite a jolt hehe.

Back in HS, all the county bands would get together to play 1812 Overture together at Billie Creek as part of Civil War days (my county has one of the largest reenactments in the area). That song is so powerful anyway, but when you’re standing in the middle of a hundred people playing it with canons being fired in the background, I tell you, it’s one of the best feelings in the world. I really miss my days in band—that feeling I’d get—all the different sounds coming together for something beautiful. I’ll never forget that feeling. I can almost feel it again when I see live blues. That heavy, full sound just wraps its arms around me.

I think this would be a good lyric. I feel like that character in Michael:

Did you ever think about sneezin’,
But change your mind
