Tomorrow is our last full day in Amsterdam. We fly out Sunday afternoon. Honestly, I’m ready to go home. It’s been a fantastic experience, and I’m sure I’ll miss parts of it when I get back. That suspicion doesn’t change the fact that I want to be working and collaborating and doing big things, saving my meandering about for nights and weekends.

Aside from riding a boat (which may happen tomorrow), I think I’ve covered the Amsterdam experience: rode a bike all around the city, stopped in at a coffeeshop, stayed out at a club til 4am on a weeknight, walked past naked ladies in windows, learned which cheek to kiss first for a dutch greeting, etc. I even learned my way around a grocery. Who knew finding swiss cheese would be so hard. I met an old man from India on a park bench and a rabbi on the tram.

It was nice. I don’t feel much like writing out every detail. I might someday but not for now. I’ve been keeping my photos uploaded to Flickr, so if you haven’t noticed already, you can check them out here.

This trip has been less of a photo adventure than expected. I have to say that my 2 favorite moments of the trip so far were biking a few miles south along the Amstel and finding a secluded spot inches from the water and watching the sunset ahead of me as I scribbled in my notebook.

The week is already a blur. It hasn’t been the best trip I’ve taken, but I never regret stepping outside my bounds and seeing what’s out there.
