I have a few minutes before I need to catch the bus, so I wanted to document a highlight of my weekend. I joined Tim, Emily, & her parents for a trip to the monthly Alameda Point Antiques show. We hopped on the ferry from SF which offered a great view of the city and spent a good chunk of the afternoon wandering around the rows & rows of vendors. We barely saw half! I definitely recommend going earlier in the morning, not only to leave time to see everything but for the weather, too. (Total sunburn from walking on the pavement.)

I made a few finds: broach, necklace, and a Katharine Hepburn coffee table book. All for $21. There’s totally a picture of her at her favorite spot in Central Park, and I aim to find it this week!

It’s the first Sunday of each month and a great excuse to get out of the city.

Oh, and on Friday, since we had a half day, I biked down to Castro for an afternoon date with Ryan. We visited both a comic book & record store (first time for both!) before grabbing lunch at KFC/Taco Bell. We finally got around to watching the African Queen on blu-ray. It looked amazing! Definitely have Kate on the brain this week, since I’m tracking down her brownstone in Manhattan, too. Oh! And I biked from Castro to Marina which was something I had decided would forever be impossible. That felt good! It didn’t hurt scoring not one, but two phone convos with Amy, too!

Okay, I’m off!
